About Dr BR Ambedkar University :-

Originally generally known as Agra University, Dr BR Ambedkar University was founded on the 1st of July, 1927. Eager educationists like Rev. Canon A. W. Davis, Munshi Narain Prasad Asthana, Doctor L. P. Mathur, Lala Dewan Chand, Rai Bahadur Anand Swaroop along with Dr Brajendra Swaroop had to put their great efforts for the formation of the University. Formerly it had solely four faculties - Disciplines, Sciences, Commerce and Legislation. Following Disciplines were additional subsequently, Faculties of Medication (1936), Agriculture (1938), Residence Science (1980), Basic Sciences (1981), Fine Arts (1982) and Administration (1994). In 1996 this University was renamed seeing that Dr BR Ambedkar University.

The University is getting accolades like a center for higher methodical vocational and job driven education and innovative exploration. The University has created Dr BR Ambedkar Couch for providing studies inside constitutional law and modern day social issues, human legal rights, labour laws and Intercontinental laws. The University has established SUR PEETH inside genesis to facilitate the learning of Brij Languages, Brij Way of life and Brij Folk Disciplines. It has also additional Center for Gandhian Studies for the in-depth study of Ghandhian School of thought, as a need for combating violence in today's world.
