Haryana Open Class 10th Date Sheet / Time Table 2014

Established in the year 1994, Haryana Open School (HOS) is an integral part of the Haryana Board of school Education. Its mission is to provide quality education to people who are under privileged in the society. It is aimed at reintroducing people who did not have the opportunity to complete their formal education.

Haryana Open School provides two course levels. First is secondary or Xth level and the second is senior Secondary XIIth level. Haryana Open School conducts various examinations like the on demand examination, annual examination and supplementary examination for both secondary and sr. secondary levels. The board follows semester system to conduct the examination twice in a year. Each subject is allotted 20 marks of continuous and comprehensive evaluation.

HOS Eligibility Criteria :-

⦁ For regular students, the candidate should have passed class IX and be a regular student of affiliated school. The candidate should an enrolment no. of the board and have at least 50% total attendance in I semester and 75% in II semester in class X.
⦁ For Ex-Regular Students, candidates who have not qualified earlier exam can appear. Students can appear for additional subject or full/partial improvement of marks.

Criteria for Qualification

In order to be eligible for the Xth class secondary certificate, the student has to qualify five subjects in external examination in each semester. The five papers are:
⦁ Hindi (First Language)
⦁ English (Second Language)
⦁ Science
⦁ Mathematics
⦁ Social Science
For the candidate to pass, he/she has to obtain 33% marks taking external examination marks, marks in CCE, Practical marks in total.
