Punjab Police (PP) has announced notification to select eligible candidates for the post of 110 Sub Inspector vacancies for various streams. Candidates who are interested may apply online on or before 2nd December 2013. Details regarding eligibility criteria of candidates are given in the below notification.Candidates may refer the notification before starting the application process.

As per announcement, Punjab Police has published the detailed notification / advertisement for the recruitment of Sub Inspector - SI (Female) in Punjab Police (District Cadre). Age Limit :-

• The lower age limit is 18 years and the upper age limit is 25 years as on 01.01.2013.
• Upper age limit is relax-able by 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes, as prescribed by the State Govt.

Educational Qualification :-

The minimum educational qualification for recruitment is Graduation as on date of Advertisement or its equivalent from a recognized university. It is compulsory for each candidate to have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory / elective subjects passed at the level of Matriculation from a recognized education Board / University.

Application Fee :-

• For Unreserved Candidates             :-       Rs.500/-
• For Reserved Category Candidates :-       Rs 300/-

Note :- The last date for submission of fee is 03.12.2013 by 04:00 PM.

Selection Process :-

• Minimum Height: 5 feet and 3 inches.
• 800 Meter Run to be completed in minimum 4 minutes and 30 seconds (Only one chance).
• Long Jump : 3.00 Meter minimum (Three chances)
• High Jump : 0.95 Meter minimum (Three chances)
• For Ex-Service women (35 years and above): 800 meter Run/Walk to be completed in 8 minutes (only one chance).

Written Test :- The applicant who would qualify the physical test, have to appear for written examination, which will be of hundred (100) marks. It is mandatory to get minimum of 45% marks to qualify this examination by the applicants belonging to SC/ST/BC categories, whereas other applicants have to get minimum of 50% pass marks.

Interview :- Candidates will be called for interview on the basis of merit in the written examination. Interview will be of 15 marks only. Number of candidates called for interview would be three times of the vacancies advertised.

• Candidates should possess passport size photo and other valid certificates to ensure their eligibility.
• Application filled by the candidate should be submitted error free in order to receive proper feed back.
