MSUB (Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda Vadodara) has issued Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET 2013) Notification. GSET is conducted for Lectureship in various subjects. Candidates have to apply online for Gujarat State Eligibility Test. Candidates who have completed Master's Degree with 50% Marks in the concerned subject are eligible to apply. Candidates have to apply at the official website www.gujaratset.ac.in.

GSET exam conducts for lectureship in Gujarat every year. Gujarat SET 2013-14 Exam Pattern

• Marks -  100 marks for each

Eligibility Criteria :-

• Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from Universities/Institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science and Application, Earth Science, Population Studies, Education etc. are eligible for this Test. The Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Physically Handicapped (PH) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.
• Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for Lectureship eligibility only after they have passed their Master’s degree examination or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH category candidates). Such candidates must complete their P.G. degree examination within two years from the date of SET result with required percentage of marks failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
• The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.
• Candidates are required to appear in subject of their post-graduation only. In case the subject of a candidate is not included in the list of SET subjects, the candidate may appear in UGC NET/UGC-CSIR NET, which is held twice a year.

Validity of GSET 2013 Score Card/Certificate :

For lectureship eligibility, the SET certificate is valid for that particular State only and forever. Recruitment to the post of lecturer may be made from among the SET qualified candidates by Universities/Colleges/ Recruitment Agencies as per their prescribed procedures and Rules & Regulations.
